Eat a diet rich in protein. Your body needs all the necessary amino acids to heal itself. Eat like an athlete would during this time. They’re trained to eat protein and maintain a balanced diet after heavy workout sessions. Whilst the situations are completely different, the principle of repair is the same.

Wear the Right Clothing

Your body has gone through a lot and it’s going to react in ways it never has before. The biggest risk is excessive swelling. You’ll be given some sort of support garment to wear. One of them looks like a girdle and the other looks like a wide binder. Wear them as often as you can to compress your abdomen.

By compressing your abdomen you’re making sure the stomach can’t swell too much. This same compression has also been scientifically proven to lead to a faster healing process. Wear these support garments to bed as well.
