Running for Blood Cancer Research

someday is today logo“Someday Is Today.”  There is no reason to wait to do something and there is no reason to wait to help others.  No more saying “One day I’ll get healthy” or “I’ll volunteer another day.”  You never know what could happen in life.  You never know who will be affected by cancer.  The important thing is that you live each day to the fullest and that’s just what one of our contributors is doing! Amanda is training for her first half marathon to not only make herself happy and to stay healthy, but also to help discover a cure for blood cancer.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society logoFrom an early age, Amanda knew that she wanted to help people.  She found a great fit raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Team in Training Program. LLS is the world’s largest not-for-profit volunteer health organization dedicated to raising money for blood cancer research and educating patients, and families around the world about Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Team in Training LogoAmanda figured that training for the New York City Half Marathon would a perfect way for her to set personal goals, get in shape, and at the same time, be able to support blood cancer research. Her goal is to raise $2500 dollars and she’s already halfway there and with the continuous support of family and friends, she knows that she can exceed her goals. The BerryRipe team wishes to support and congratulate Amanda on her hard work in an effort to better herself and the rest of the world. Way to stay ripe, Amanda!

If you wish to help Amanda reach her goal and support LLS, please make a donation.
