This new breakfast comes with all the great taste of overnight oats, without the hassle or time consuming element of having to prepare them the night before. So sit back and relax, and don’t worry about tomorrows breakfast today!

What is DIY Bircher Muesli?

DIY Bircher Muesli is a combination of quick-soak oats, plump juicy raisins, chewy apple chunks, crunchy pumpkin and sunflower seeds, delicious coconut flakes and raspberry pieces. These delicious and healthy ingredients all packed together create a gorgeous and filling breakfast that rivals overnight oats.

For those forgetful days where overnight oats simply aren’t an option, reach for a box of this tasty muesli. All it takes is a scattering of the mix, a splash of tangy apple juice and a dollop of creamy yogurt to make a deliciously filling and nutritious breakfast. Better yet, it’s easy enough to take with you on the go or to prepare when you arrive at work, helping to make a busy lifestyle healthy, too!

Bircher Muesli – Full of Fibre and Packed with Protein

Research suggests that the average adult should be getting around 30g of fibre every day, however, this research also suggests that many adults will only average around 18g of fibre each day. Having one bowl of MOMA’s DIY Bircher Muesli is packed full of just under 5g of fibre and more than 6g of protein and that’s before you add any of your favorite toppings.

The perfect pairing of fiber and protein can really help to kick start your day! Considering that the average man should get about 56g of protein every day, and 46g of protein for the average women, you will be off to a good start to hitting your daily protein target intake with a DIY Bircher breakfast!

There’s absolutely no added sugar in the MOMA Bircher mix. This makes it a healthy option for everyone. Better yet, if you’re vegan and following a dairy free diet or you are intolerant to lactose, you can simply switch from the standard yogurt to a coconut or soy variety and you’ve got yourself a tasty and healthy breakfast to kick start your day!

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the bircher and with a little creativity, you could get a week’s worth of different breakfasts!

Try topping your bircher with a handful of fruit and a sprinkle of nuts to add instant variety to your bowl. In the winter months, try stewing fruit such as pears or apples to add an extra portion of your 5-a-day!

A particular favourite of ours is MOMA’s almond, cinnamon and banana protein bircher muesli:
