smoothie recipe One of the most difficult things to get kids to eat is their fruits and vegetables, especially when you want them to eat nutrient-dense kale. By itself, kale is very bitter and most kids won’t want to eat it, but when it’s blended in this delicious kid-friendly “green” smoothie, they won’t even taste it! This smoothie will get them over a full serving of fruits.

Kale is a super-food that’s high in calcium and vitamins A, C, and K. Kale is also a great food for vegetarians and vegans because it is high in iron which is essential for maintaining your health. There are also blueberries in this smoothie, which is another great super-food. Blueberries have the highest amount of antioxidants of all fruits. Are you ready to dig into this delicious smoothie? Let’s get started!

Silk Pure Almond Instructions

1. Blend the kale, apple juice, mango, and strawberries.

2. Add the Silk Almond Milk, blueberries, and pineapple, and blend until smooth.

See how easy this kid-friendly smoothie was to make? It only takes 10 minutes, and can be a satisfying breakfast, snack, or even dessert. If serve this to your kids to dessert, they will love it without even knowing how good it is for them! This recipe serves between 6 and 8 people depending on how much everyone wants (approximately 8 cups/64 ounces). When I make it, I usually go back for a second helping.

There are a few variations for this kid-friendly smoothie:

1. You can add banana in place of the mango

2. You can add a pinch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla to make it more of a dessert

3. You can add 2 cups of strawberries and only 1 cup of blueberries depending on whichever you prefer

4. You can use any fruits you want as long as you keep the amount of fruit the same

    Hi…

I was wondering if the almond milk is sweetened. I was in Trader Joe’s and picked up their vanilla almond milk and it is unsweetened. Just curious. I made it and it tastes fine but it might be even better with a different one.

    Thanks!
